Pagalu Hostel is a cosy hostel located in Puerto Viejo Town, from where it is possible to walk everywhere or hire a bicycle to discover the beautiful surroundings and beaches to Manzanillo.
The hostel has a nice common area with an open style fully equipped kitchen and you can choose between different types of rooms such as: 4 bed dorms, 6 bed dorms or double rooms with a private or shared bathroom. All dorms are mixed, and all double rooms have a queen size bed. Also, hot water is available, and the towels are included.

Overall very good! Very clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Staff was nice and helpful. Spacious with a lot off chillout area and hammock. The atmosphere in general was quite neutral and people were more for themself. Would stay there again!

I was only there for 1 night but really liked my time there. The room was spacious with plenty of storage for bags etc. the beds were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and the water was hot. I didn’t use the kitchen except for the fridge but it seemed well equipped and was clean. The hostel had a nice chill out space at the back but it didn’t seem very social. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hostel looked after my bags after checking out until my bus at 12, though he said they had

Great hostel! Friendly staff. Very clean. Pretty quiet, but still some nice common areas so it's not to hard to get to know people when they're around. It was at full capacity when I was there and never felt crowded. The only place for you to dry wet clothes is a shaded balcony railing, so it can take several days to dry since it does get quite humid there. Excellent location, steps away from grocery stores, a really nice yoga studio, bike rentals, etc. Kitchen was clean and easy to use.
