Featuring a sunny rooftop terrace, The Village Canberra is situated in the heart of Canberra's city centre, just 10 minutes’ walk from Lake Burley Griffin. Guests also enjoy an onsite games room.
The Village Canberra is 5 minutes' walk from the coach terminal, which offers connections to Sydney and Melbourne. It is 5 minutes’ drive from the Australian War Memorial, the National Museum of Australia and Parliament House. Canberra Airport is a 15-minute drive away.
Guests can enjoy a meal in the BBQ area. The Village Canberra also offers a communal kitchen.
All rooms are air conditioned and feature a work desk. Some rooms have a private bathroom, TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
- Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
- A valid credit card and ID must be presented on check-in. (Acceptable forms of ID are an Australian Driver's License or an International Passport)
- Check-in from 2pm - Check-out by 10am
- Payment upon arrival by credit cards, debit cards (This property may pre-authorize your card upon arrival) - 2% surcharge applies on all EFTPOS and credit card transactions.
- Taxes included General:
- Reception hours: 24 hrs - No curfew
- Age restriction: 18-35 in dorms
- Maximum stay 14 days
- While we make the greatest effort to place all guests of a group booking into the same room, this is not always possible. To avoid having a group split up, book well in advance.
- We cannot guarantee the same room for the duration of your stay, as existing bookings may make this impossible. We try our best to avoid moving guests around, however in order to guarantee this please book well in advance.
- No refund policy. Payment made towards all bookings can only be obtained in the form of booking credit for any nights cancelled.

Great location. Hostel but clean.

Arrived after a really long day of travel, I had booked two beds for myself and a friend but we were out in a room with only one spare bed pretty late at night. The lady behind the desk when we checked in wasn’t helpful at all, but it was eventually sorted but we were out into a different room from the room type which we had booked. It was generally pretty clean though and near the city centre

Despite CBD location I still felt it was very over priced! Clean enough but dont expect much. Unlikely to stay again. It isnt convenient to get around by public transport to tourist destination so expect a lot of walking and expenses in Uber and scooters. While I never expect much of a hostel I was surprised reception didn't offer the wifi code, explain how the door system worked, or give me a map of the city. While clean enough its clear it never gets a good scrub as there is build up.
