The 4 female dorm bathroom was dirty everyday, hair, bodily fluids, and wet tissue all over the floors. I excuse it the first day but the housekeepers only give out a new towel and didn’t touch the bathroom. I wasn’t there but I use my shoe to sweep a pile of someone’s hair to a corner of the bathroom, and it was in the same spot the-next night. The last night I finally complained and ask if the bathroom could be clean the front desk took my room number and did nothing.

The stay was ok for a night. However, the bathroom was not clean and the bed and a few specks of dust… not very welcoming! And the lack of warmth and conviviality does not make you feel in a hostel, rather a shared room in a basic hotel…

This place has pros and cons. The location is great, short walk to DuPont Circle. The building and rooms are clean. But there is no communal kitchen. So you can't save money on food on your trip. When you arrive, the cranky not-so-friendly staff tell you you can't bring food or drink into your room. My key card stopped working and I couldn't get in at night. The night staff gave me bad attitude and then said I was the one with a bad attitude even though I was the one locked outside in the cold.
