Hippo Lodge is a friendly and affordable hostel with an amazing, elevated view of Queenstown, from the side of Queenstown Hill, facing Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables mountain range. Walk to town in only a few minutes and enjoy all of the region's best offerings, just be prepared for the short but steep ascent back!
We offer a mix of private rooms and mixed dorms, all of which feature views of the mountains, lake or garden. Guests have access to a fully-equipped shared kitchen and a communal lounge with TV.
We offer free WiFi and free (but limited) parking.

Card details will be required for all reservations but no payment will be taken until the day of check-in.
Any cancellation within our 1 day cancellation policy will be charged for their first nights accommodation.
All bookings made through Hostelworld, must be amended through the same channel.

nice place but none of the rooms in the building I stayed in where ever locked so people could just come and go when ever which had me worried about leaving my bags there all day when I was at work
