it’s very obvious that the hostel has not had any maintenance in long time. The rooms were clean and tidy, with lots of space however, the beds had a thin mattress which was not comfortable. The bathroom was the worst, because it’s quite clear no one has bothered to keep up the maintenance, it has slowly deteriorated making it seem dirty. There was a dried up piece of gum on the side of the bath tub which did not move the entire 3 days we stayed there.
On a positive there is a lovely bar downstairs which

Hotel Waterloo and Backpacker is conveniently located near the train station and the Waterfront, which is a major plus. However, I found the receptionist to be somewhat rude, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the hotel is budget-friendly. On the downside, the cleanliness of the kitchen left much to be desired.

Not a lot of good to say about this place to be honest… looks nothing like the photos, mattress is so thin it might as well not be there, there’s flys in the kitchen 24/7, staff just weren’t interested in talking to guests & it wasn’t clean. Walking through the corridors felt like being in American Horror Story or something similar. Wouldn’t stay here again no matter how cheap it is.
