We like A Beary Good Hostel?s location in Chinatown; the entrance is inside a covered arcade and next to the MRT station, making it convenient for getting around the city and to and from the airport. This comfortable, friendly hostel has accommodating staff on hand 24hrs a day with ?excellent knowledge of the city?, according to our guests, who say they?d stay here again. It features large windows, air conditioning and clean rooms, with a ?no shoes? policy.

and good value self-check in, self-service accommodation.
Carefully restored from an art deco heritage building, we offer a calm,
laid back and friendly environment with all the facilities we believe
truly matters for travelers... a dedicated lounge/dining area, multiple
female & unisex bathrooms, dorms of various sizes, bike storage
facilities and even an outdoor patio.
A little bus stop stands in front of the hostel and just across the
street is the brand new Chinatown MRT station with connections to all
key Singapore attractions Marina Bay Sands, Sentosa Island, Orchard
Road, Bugis, Esplanade and Suntec City!
All Beary guests have access to exclusive rates to Singapore local attractions, and free walking tours.
Every Bunk Bed comes equipped with:
- individual power points with built in universal adapters
- 9-inch hotel grade spring mattress
- comfy pillows, quilt and fresh sheets
- specially customized metal bunk beds
Beary Best Facilities includes (but not limited to) the following:
- 24 hours check in & NO CURFEW
- Reception hour: 9AM to 9PM

Facilities were dirty and smelly, zero atmosphere and basically no communal areas worth mentioning.
Kitchen was tiny but could be used at least. Location is the only redeeming quality in my opinion.
If I could give negative scores for value for money I would. I left after one night and went to a different hostel which was significantly cheaper, cleaner and had better staff and community areas.
Would recommend avoiding.

This property is disgusting, which is really surrounding considering it’s Singapore. The staircase literally smells like p**s it’s so absurdly disgusting. Try to book somewhere clean. Room also is not clean every, didn’t smell like p**s thank god, but the walls were just gross by the bed I had to shut my eyes and just not even look how grossed out. The private room is so tiny which might be normal for Singapore, sort of felt like I was in a cell — don’t recommend way too expensive to smell p**s.

This hostel was very strange. Location and staff are fantastic. Everyone in our room was clearly living there permanently which was unusual. Absolutely no “traveller†vibe at all. It is mostly older men, so I would say it’s not that safe for women on their own. The room was unclean, full to the brim with others belongings, and had a very strange smell. The bathrooms were also very dirty (I’m not particularly fussy about cleanliness but it was quite bad). The price is competitive in Singapore so you get what
