The hostel does the job and the rating seems harsh. I only stayed in Battambang for 2 days, for the tours, but I wouldn’t recommend spending too much time here.
The staff are nice and there are a few shops/restaurants/markets nearby for the essentials.
There wasn’t any aircon in the room I had, but a ceiling fan which got me by during my stay.

Lightswitches for the room are hidden, we spent an entire night with the lights ablaze before figuring out how to turn them off. Air-con is adequate. Rooms are pretty filthy. Staff is super creepy, and tried to sxxm us out of our reservation online. They only stopped when the realized that my father-in-law spoke Khmer, and he understood everything they were saying about how they were going to 'rob us blind'. If you book here, be ready for the vultures who run the place.
