CabanaCopa is set next to Morro de S?o Jo?o park, just a few minutes? walk from Copacabana beach. This clean, friendly hostel offers a good balance of nightlife and quiet atmosphere, with an onsite bar open until around 10pm. It also has some nice little essential features, like a varied breakfast and plug sockets at each bed. Hostelworld guests tell us they?d stay here again and will recommend it to friends.

Located three blocks from the famous Copacabana Beach, one block from the metro and next to a beautiful natural park, we are waiting to welcome you to Rio!
Our large colonial house is fully renovated with new clean spacious dorms and bathrooms with hot showers and excellent social areas (indoor and outdoor), in a street with 24hr security.
We offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere with Brazilian breakfast (extra), free high-speed internet and Wi-Fi, free bed linen, free maps and tourist info, free drinkable water, ceiling fans, big individual lockers and free luggage storage. There is no curfew so you can enjoy the best of Rio at any time of day or night!
We have double bunk beds (no triples!), women-only dorms, a cool bar with music, a lounge with a 42 inches LCD TV , free book exchange, towels, hairdryers, and ironing facilities.
Nearby you can find all sorts of restaurants, bars, clubs, supermarkets, banks, laundry services, shops and easy transport to all parts of the city. We are next to a 36 square km park with wildlife, eco-hiking and even a football court available.
Our friendly and helpful staff speak great English and are happy to help you book flights or exchange money. We know all the best events, activities and parties in Rio!

Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.

Our rates vary according to our occupancy. Early bookers will get most of the time the best rate.
During special periods like Carnival, New Year, Rock in Rio, World Cup and holidays:
100% of the payment is required in advance. The remaining 90% balance will be due directly after the on-line booking is made. The guest must contact the property to arrange payment. Non payment of the remaining balance will result in cancellation.
If the booking is canceled 90 days before the check-in date, 50% of the deposit value can be refunded. After that the booking is non refundable.
* Payment options
You can pay for your stay in most Credit/Debit Cards, PayPal, Brazilian Reals, US Dollars or Euros. Our exchange rate might be different than one on this website. Please visit our website for more information.
* Shared Dorm:
Each reservation is for an individual bed, although you book the same number of beds as the room has, this does not guarantee that all the people are going to be in the same room.

Room was smelling foul, mattress had huge bloodstain on and other indefinable stains, which were also on the pillow. Had to ask for a new mattress cover too, as I had a used one on my bed. Asked but could not be moved to a different bed. The hostel smelled so bad I felt like throwing up. My friend’s asthma got worse. Checked out a day before with no money back. Staff nice but didn’t help when I told them all of the above. Was only taken seriously when moving out. Way too late, unfortunately.

Pros:
• Friendly staff and god wifi
Cons:
• Metal beds are old and squeaky.
• There are too many stairs, making access challenging.
• Rooms are overcrowded with beds, leaving little space for anything else.
• Lockers are extremely hard to access.
• No privacy screens on top bunks.
The old and squeaky metal beds, combined with the excessive number of stairs and overcrowded room make it a no go for me

Good hostel, 6 bed dorm was a tight squeeze with luggage too - would recommend using downstairs lockers for backpack and under bed storage for things needed! Quite dark but good breakfast and location

We're in a unique location near the beach, next to a park where you can see the jungle in the middle of Copacabana Beach. The nearest attractions are, of course, Copacabana Beach and the Sugar Loaf, but the one place that I recommend to guests is Copacabana Fort.
I think this hostel is perfect for backpackers who want to stay in a good location at a budget price, or anyone else, although we don't allow children. For fun people like to play cards and pool, watch movies and socialise in the cinema lounge, have a drink at the bar, cook big meals in the kitchen or even cook a barbecue in the patio area. We also have some great extras like air conditioning and blackout curtains in most of the rooms.
