Had an incredible time at La Ponderosa, a slice of paradise that's incomparable to any other hostel I've stayed at!! The vegetarian food is next level, staff are amazing, I couldn't recommend it enough!!! make sure to try the BBC cocktail!!

Epic hostel. Super peaceful yet has a great social atmosphere. Family lunches and dinner provide lovely opportunity to meet other travellers, and the food is delicious. Beautiful refreshing river to swim in each day. Great staff.

A perfect balance between adventure, relaxation and socializing. If you're more bold and prefer to be a bit more off the beaten track then this is for you. You won't find other tourists on the activities except others from the hostel because of the location. You don't get to choose the meals though they were delicious - all vegetarian/vegan, if you have dietary requirements let them know in advance. The family style meals made it really easy to connect with people. Bring cash for activities.
