Auberge de Jeunesse HI Marseille Bois-Luzy is a proud member of Hostelling International worldwide network.
The hostel is located just 200 meters from the nearest bus stop and 4.5 km from the center. The city has a rich and active cultural heritage. Marseille is the second largest city in France, and has a colourful port, charming old town, and a wealth of museums to visit.
The interior of the 'Château de Bois-Luzy' is also worth a visit: wrought iron balconies and mosaics in the courtyard.
Rooms are bright with large windows and open views. A functional kitchen available to travellers is located next to the large dining room with wooden tables and benches. Labeled a 'green key', a permaculture garden also welcomes campers. Homemade honey, dry baths, chickens for organic eggs.
It has a wide range of sports facilities such as volleyball, basketball, soccer and tennis, and Marseille offers a variety of activities for all tastes, from fishing, golf or hiking, to cycling, sailing or canoeing in the sea.

Receptionist, view, and breakfast were great but everything else was lacking. Inconvenient location. Kitchen was well equipped but 4/6 stove burners were broken and other 2 covered in grease. Bathrooms were dirty smelly and out of toilet paper at 8am. Beds were creaky, small, and uncomfortable. I was not provided a pillow even though other guests were. Front door of the hostel was not locked at night. Older guests were yelling downstairs until 3am and dorm mates were loud and disrespectful.

I enjoyed my stay here, the atmosphere in the hostel was very nice and homey, definitely had a nice rustic countryside type vibe. The two receptionists were lovely. The free breakfast was also very nice, and the kitchen was quite well equipped, except for not having oil or spices. The rooms and bathrooms seemed clean and there were big lockers in the bedrooms which was very nice. Only complaint was being a bit far from things, but the walk to the metro wasn’t bad at all.

Great hostel, definitely be back. Location is in a quiet park, beautiful.
15 min walk to metro, it is very easy to catch.
Hostel is surrounded by a locked gate at night, you must enter it at the entry on 58 All. des Primevères
Free breakfast was great, boiled eggs, bread, spreads, juice, coffee and apple pure in a cup.
Beds are comfy. Laundry is great, costs 5 euros, dry it on clothes line outside.
Kitchen is good.
