Welcome to Carob Hostel!
Our hostel nestled in the heart of Amman and looks over the bustling city with panoramic views. Our aim has been to create a home away from home for anyone coming to Amman, hoping to give a true taste of Jordanian hospitality for every guest. At the hostel you can enjoy sitting on our large terrace, taking in the 180 degree views as the call for prayer echoes off the many hills that Amman is built on. Or join us in the living room where everyone comes together to chat and share stories surrounded by handmade crafts.
When you’re not at the hostel we are only 2 minutes from the Downtown and we would be glad to recommend the best places for you to visit. Whether it be to learn more about Amman (one of one of the oldest cities in the world), or where to try authentic Jordanian cuisine.
When city life starts to get under your skin we can help advise you on day trips to Jerash, Madaba or the Dead Sea where there are plenty of different price options and deals. And of course for your onward journey to Petra, Wadi Rum or Israel/Palestine we can help so that you have the smoothest journey possible.

Our hostel provides a 24-hour front desk, a shared kitchen and currency exchange for guests.
The shared bathrooms are equipped with a bidet and a hairdryer.
Guest rooms at Carob Hostel include air conditioner, desk, seats, clean bed sheets, comfortable mattresses, plugs for every bed and also curtains on each dorm bed for your privacy.
A daily fresh Jordanian breakfast is available at the accommodation often described as "the best breakfast in Jordan". Don't miss out!
Cancellation policy: 24 hours before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged for the first night of your stay.
Please let us know an approximate arrival time! Is very important for us (send us Whatsapp msg).

Love it how everyone teams up to maintain the cleaness of the place. Is located in a centric area, just considered everything is between or on hills.
Has a lot of common areas but also areas you can be by yourself.

really good hostel amazing at organising very good value tours to a similar price to what I would pay on my own minus all the hassle. staff super friendly especially Firas. close to everything you need and amazing recommendations for food. only one negative is breakfast is too expensive at 4JD in my opinion

We love Carob Hostel! We’ve stayed in dozens of hostels and this is one of the absolute best ones. The exterior is unassuming but you get inside and you’ve come home. The people are so kind and helpful and aren’t trying to push you to buy any packages but instead just give you information. They were able to set us up a car rental where the car could get dropped off at the hostel. So easy. The breakfast!! So delicious. The private bedroom was so comfy. The toilets were clean. The laundry was easy breezy. We
