Welcome to Tipsea Turtle, the only beach front hostel on Gili Air!
After the hustle and bustle of Bali and Gili T, there is no better place to recharge than with us on Gili Air.
Our cozy hostel is an absolute tropical paradise, with the dorms and pool set in a tropical garden just a stones throw from the beach and the bungalows in front giving you direct beach access! This is the ideal place to meet other solo travelers, with free breakfast every morning bringing everyone together, and regular evening activities.
While things are still a bit quiet, we will do our best to offer you the best experience possible. Oh and did we mention that we've got a dive shop at the front of the hostel, where you can get great dive and stay packages!

I have been in over 60 hostels around the world and this one has been one of my favourite ones. The owner Kyle is a really funny guy and Kaela always made sure I was comfortable and enjoying my stay. Hillary and Julia the volunteers were great and friendly. The bartender staff in particular Ozzie and Egy made amazing drinks for a low price. The activities every night also were fun and social. I would recommend the snorkel trip as well. There are tons of restaurants nearby too. I will miss Tipsea

Amazing chill vibes, the music is fantastic and the staff are so nice. The breakfast was 10/10 and pool/hammocks were lovely. There are tiny cats all over the property which I loved. There are activities planned every day and yoga is offered at the hostel every day. As soon as you walk out of the hostel, you’re at the beach which is nice. There is also an amazing restaurant pituq nearby. Only thing is that it’s a far walk from the port so not fun walking with a suitcase through the sand

Overall great place to stay! Love the social-ness of it and met good people. Location is great for snorkelling but far from the port so need a horse and cart if you have heavy bags. Showers upstairs were especially nice for a hostel! Downsides were the construction work happening that ruined the vibe at yoga a bit (but instructor was fab!), the pool is a bit in the dirty side and I changed to a private dorm halfway through which cost more but was barren and clinical compared to the shared room.
