Mapache Hostel is where people from around the world meet to experience the best of Holbox Island. We proud ourselves on excellent customer service and to ensure that you feel welcomed from the moment you step into the hostel until you leave as a friend.
We are a smaller, cozy hostel compared to other bigger party hostels. We offfer different accommodation for individual travellers needs.
There are two mixed 6-bed dormitories with air conditioning, eight spacious tents with mattresses and fans covered by a huge palapa for rain and sun cover and our deluxe glamping option the Tipi huts with shared bathrooms.
We are the only hostel on the island that offers a good, changing breakfast included in the room rate. There are daily activities taking place to bring people together and to show you the best that Holbox has to offer.
Our staff ratings are excellent throughout the web as we really make an effort to helping you out where we can and making you feel part of our island family.

Great staff! The hostel is small and has a cozy and social atmosphere. There are activities planned every day. The included breakfast was tasty. Our tent was quite comfortable, the fan was very much appreciated. The facilities were good but with one toilet out of order there were some queues at times. The location is very good, it is only a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal and the beach is just a few minutes away. Restaurants, bars, and stores can be found in the immediate neighborhood.

El hotel se encuentra en una zona centrica cerca de todo pero sin el ruido del centro. Esta a pasos de la playa asà que es muy fácil moverse.
El staff es muy amable y esta siempre dispuesto a dar información sobre actividades, incluso puedes solicitar servicios desde el hostel.
Los voluntarios son muy divertidos y tienen actividades todos los dÃas algo que no lo encuentras en todo lado.
puedes optar por una cama en habitación compartida o una carpa, ambas son muy cómodas, tambien tienen tippies tipo cabaña.

Hostel is in a great location so near the beach. The hammock area is great for chilling and chatting to people. The kitchen is well equipped and the breakfasts were good! Dorm room has AC overnight and is very clean.
