The Backpacker Semarang located truly in the heart of the semarang city. We are surrounded by local foods, and shopping malls and so many shops. Simpang Lima semarang & Citraland mall are in the door step. 30 minutes to Ahmad Yani Airport; 5 minutes to Poncol Train Station, Lawang Sewu & Tugu Muda, rainbow village; 10 Minutes to Tawang Train Station, Kota Lama, Chiness Town; 15 minutes to Central Java Grand Mosque.
We provide a cheap, clean, and comfortable bunkbeds in a full AC dorm-style rooms equipped with super Wi-Fi and hot/cold shower. The room rate includes free toiletries, free towel and blanket rental, and also a free locker. Breakfast is made upon request for an additional charge. We also provide a car rental to be used within and around semarang.
The property is a 3 floored classic style building. Full granite and marble. The first floor is lobby area, kitchen, bathrooms, snacks, and 2 dorms (10 & 6 beds dorm). The second floor consists of 2 dorms (8bed rooms) , bathrooms, large outdoor patio,terrace and balcony, equipped with chairs and table, & indoor bean bags lounge to chill out. On the third floor, there are 6 bed dorm room, bathroom, and outdoor terrace.

Staff ramah & baik.
Penginapan memelihara kucing & dibiarkan berkeliaran dgn bebas, banyak bulu kucing di lantai akan terlihat jelas bila menggunakan kaos kaki hitam. Kasat mata bisa dilihat di bagian depan penginapan dekat penyimpanan alas kaki.
Tidak ada lift. Adanya tangga melingkar.Shower air panasnya kurang berjalan dgn baik, suhu tidak panas. Lokasi dekat dgn Ciputra Mall & minimarket. Hari 1 menggunakan selimut badan gatal-gatal, lalu pesan selimut baru 2 & ganti seprei ;sarung bantal.

Loved our one night stay at Backpacker! Mba Oni and all the staff were super friendly, warm and helpful. Mba Oni helped arrange transport on for us (to Jepara), getting us a good deal and giving helpful recommendations. Had a lot of fun bantering, playing games and hanging with the staff. The rooms were good sized, private capsule beds and AC was epic! Super cool compared to the heat of Semarang. Very good value for money - you’ll feel welcome here in this authentic and warm hostel.

Stayed there for one night, WiFi didn’t work but hot showers did. Unfortunately, the staff wasn’t helpful at all. They barely responded to text messages, told me via email they may help me when I’m at the hostel but later, no one was there able to speak English. Also, late/no responses before and during my stay prevented me from taking the trip as I intended. Probably worst staff experience I had during my travels.
Facilities and the rest seem okay though
