Really chill hoste with cool people. Right next to river you see some lizards sometimes and its the best place for sunrise.

Great little place in a quiet part of town, right on the river. The owners are working hard to expand the facilities (so now there's a second dorm building a little behind the main area, good if you want to sleep early-ish), and they already have a nice set up in the other part. Very social with regular dinners organised and cooked for you. There's also a cute cat and dog in case you miss your furry friends back home.

Super Hostel! It's a very chill and charming place by the river with tonnes of wildlife roaming day and night. Serengya the Host has created something of a sanctuary here. It's really tranquil. It takes about 10 mins to walk to the beach, and isn't necessarily in the centre of the 'action', but that's a positive in my book. And scooter rental is available at the hostel. Don't count on the WiFi

It’s a really nice hostel, you can have a good time and relaxing at the same time. The owner is very friendly and he will help you for any requests. I really recommend this place.

Aurora Hostel offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making you feel like part of a big family from the moment you arrive. Saranga's cooking is exceptional, with delicious food and curry nights, one less thing for your belly to worry about. The social vibe is lovely, nice space to connect with fellow travelers. Outside, the grassy lawns are perfect for morning meditation. Beds could be comfier and longer, especially for taller guests, but the friendly ambiance more than makes up for it.

The Host is an amazing and super friendly guy, he makes you feel very welcome.The Hostel had a great vibe and everyone was nice.

Wonderful stay just a little outside the city so you are 15min walking distance from the busy side of the beach and 10min away from the secluded, calm side. Friendly people, possibility of showering under the stars, slack line and friendly, wild animals in the yard! Couldn’t ask for more!!

This is a different kind of hostel that only has 8 beds and because of this it’s very intimate. A lot of people here go for a long stay and really get to know each other. It’s not a party hostel and it’s very chill. Shower is outside in the garden.

Overall, I had a really enjoyable stay at Aurora Hostel! There was some miscommunication about whether or not there would be aircon but it turned out that the room ventilation was just fine. I was unwell during my stay and Saranga offered me tea and the bed for a little after check out. I ended up coming back for a curry night! One thing to mention is that there is very little privacy, the dorm rooms don’t really have a door, it just leads out into the entrance.
