Breakfast is great (a buffet!). Located a 5 minute walk to the bus stop, but a bit further from downtown. The beds are comfortable and have lockers underneath. I was happy though that only 5 beds where used in the 8 bed-dorm because I think it would have felt a bit cramped if all the beds were occupied.

Well located in the center of town. The kitchen where all the dorms are located is too small for the amount of guests using it. I suggest you use the one in the main lobby. A bed seem to cause skin eruptions but nothing in the other room. There was no water pressure in the shower only a few drops of water at a time.

The location is good, situated in a residential neighborhood but the place is very hard to find with no signs whatsoever. The showers were clean but there was nowhere to put your clothes, but one hook. Lockers are very small and will only fit small padlocks. The breakfast was basic: fruit and bread (and it didn't seem to be any fruits refill). Most of the staff only speaks Spanish. Some of the rooms are a little noisy (because of the road traffic).

Hi there, thanks for your review. We don’t usually respond to reviews but felt compelled this time, just to clarify a couple of points. We don’t have a large Benita Hostel sign on the door for security reasons and also because we want to maintain our traveler atmosphere; with a large sign the hostel attracts a lot of locals who randomly need a bed for the night for different types of reasons- as I’m sure you can appreciate, this completely change the vibe of the hostel. On our booking sites our address and house number is clearly advertised and we have them printed on our front door in huge numbers- you can’t miss it. With regards to the lockers; they won’t fit a large traveler backpack/ large suitcase but any kind of carry on luggage/ smaller backpack will easily fit. We rent locks for the lockers at reception. Our breakfast is a classic Argentinian breakfast- bread with different marmalade’s and dulce de leche as well as apples and bananas which we added too. We also have coffee and teas. We are a family run hostel with 4 of us in total. I’m a little surprised about your comment with regards to the language as 3 out of 4 of us speak fluent English and I personally spent 20 minutes talking to you explaining all of the highlights and To Do’s of the city and I am actually from England. Only one of us only speaks Spanish and that is Jose who manages the breakfast but throughout the day and night there is always an English speaker at reception. We hope you enjoyed your stay generally, in spite of the comments mentioned. Happy travels!

Great location and the breakfast is nice. Unfortunately, some rooms are very noisy because of the proximity of the common room and of the street (especially the 4 bunks beds one).

Great staff, and good location near the Kyoto station. The dorms have lockers and have curtains. The beds are a little worn out and if the room is full it becomes quite cramped. Because the building is old, sounds travels very far and we can hear everything. Also, the roof was leaking one night, but we called the staff and they fixed it. In the morning, there was always a line-up for the shower/ bath. Make sure to take a look at the reception hours!! Overall good value for money.

The whoe place was gloomy. Did not feel like the staff was very helpful. Location is a little far from everything. Also, I'm not sure how clean the beds were and the next day, I was really itchy and had small bumps all over my body. Would not recommend.

Overall a nice hostel with great facilities. All bed have their own curtain, electrical socket and shelf, very convenient. The room is very cramped though especially with suitcases. The common area is great and staff is helpful. A little walk from the subway and bus station.

A little outside the city center, but still very easy to get everywhere. Many great restaurants not too far. Kitchen is fully equipped. Staff is very nice and helpful. The common room is a little small, but wasn't a problem because there wasn't many people when I was there. Very nice atmosphere and good value for money.

The hostel was nice and calm. Breakfast is basic. You do have to climb about 70 stairs before getting there, but the view once up is worth it. The dorm room gets quite warm during the night and the two fans weren't enough, we had to keep the door open. Make sure to tell them if you arrive after 6 pm, and be patient there isn't always someone at the reception. Also, asks about the movies on the television, they have a huge selection that is really worth checking out.

Great place to stay, the staff is very nice. Location is a 15-20 minutes from center but in a small alley with a lot of life. The food stand in front of the hostel is great have a try. The breakfast is delicious but takes a while to prepare. If they have a BBQ night, don't miss it!

I stayed in the 10 bed-dorm which was split up in two sections. The beds were comfy, there was two showers (but both of them had problems with the drain). The location is really central, but it means it can be loud at night especially on karaoke night. Bring ear plugs. Wi-fi did not work in the room. Kitchen is big but not much sitting room. The terasse and TV room are quite nice.

Dorms are very good value for the price. Great choice of breakfast. No bunk beds, very comfy hotel style beds. The bathroom is very clean and shower doesn't flood the whole bathroom. Spacy room with two sections. No common room as it is a hotel mostly so harder to meet people. Also, some staff seemed to be very confused at time. And treat the dorm like a hotel room. Services seem expensive. Would gladly stay again.

Dorms are clean and have full lockers. Breakfast is good (egg, fruits, bread and tea or coffee). The bathroom is big and cleaned every day. Not so much of a party hostel, quiet at night. The free beer is a nice touch (but expect a watered down liquid). The only downside is that there is no real common room (except for the breakfast area which is filled with mosquitoes in the morning), and that the staff seems clueless at times (was told the hostel was full but was able to book online).

The dorm is really good value for money (2$). Not very far from all the city center (town is very small to be fair). The bathroom were clean, the beds were comfortable enough even though some of them were quite noisy. The wi-fi was not working on the second floor where our dorm was located, but was really good around reception. Lockers are very small and not so safe. Some staff speaks very little to no English making communication tricky at times.

Conveniently located with great breakfast. The beds are very hard and not too comfortable. Also, the bathroom in the dorm is kind of see through (you can see the shadow of people taking their showers), and can't be locked. There is another bathroom another floor below that I have used. Wi-fi is good. There is a common room, but when I was there people did their own thing so not much atmoshpere wise.

The dorms are great, the staff is nice. The showers are really hot and have great pressure. Just a little far from the city center. The staff is quite honest, the rooms have lockers. BLankets are really warm for cold Sapa nights. Stayed here before and after my trek. Not much atmosphere wise (but that could be because most of the common rooms are outside and it was a little cold when I was there).

I stayed in a four bed dorm, the dorm and the bathroom were clean. The lockers in the room are tiny and would not close properly in some cases. Also, the reception isn't really 24 hours so be mindful of that if you are arriving late! The hostel is a little far from the center and wouldn't feel so safe coming back alone late at night. I had a few issues with the staff over breakfast, and because it is hard to communicate with them. The atmosphere was nice and overall I would stay there again.

This hostel is well-located, a little bit off the main part of town so it is quieter, and provides many services (for quite a fee though, shop around!). The breakfast was definetly the best part of my stay. The rooms are quite cramped and the doors don't lock. Communual restrooms are generally clean, but can be really busy. No lockers in the rooms only downstairs and very small. It was a little noisy at night. Found it a little expensive for what it was offering, but maybe it's justVang Vieng

Stayed in the 8-bed dorms, the beds were fine with individual fans. The hostel doesn't have any protection against mosquitoes which was a bit annoying. The hostel is a little far from the main road and gets really dark at night, but it is quite easy to find a tuk-tuk. The staff were really trying to be helpful and bikes can be rented out for 2$. There are lockers in the room, but were sometimes a little difficult to open. The bathroom was always flooded and the real toilets were downstairs (far)

Very well-located (next to local bus and night market). The dorms had curtains (very thin) which allowed a little privacy. The staff was really nice and helpful. Stayed in a three bed dorm which was quite spacious. Bathroom was nice and clean, but a little smelly, we had to keep the door closed. The dorm had lockers. The hostel itself is very nice with hamacs and great places to hang out. Unfortunatly, the hostels is a little far from the town so we had to walk maybe 15-20 mins which is okay, but the main street gets quite dark at night and some cars are driving fast. I recommend a flashlight so drivers can see you.

Breakfast was delicious, but kitchen can run out of space.
